ME Time

Hung out with the buddies in Portland this week - if you've never been, now's the time. We started the day at Tandem (classic) with their breakfast biscuit sandwiches and a brownie to really kick ourselves into gear.

This was then followed by a long stroll through the old port, checking out every cutesy store as directed by bestie Tom. Vibes were excellent, Christmas gifts were purchased, and it was ever-so-slightly snowing as we walked which made it extra gorg. We dropped into Oxbow brewing, tried some sour cherry beer and said hello to all of the brewery bro's dogs.

We rounded out the evening with dinner at Lucky Cheetah and drinks at Room for Improvement. Highly recommend the tuna crudo at Lucky Cheetah and the snappy meal at Room for Improvement.

Autumn Appreciator

Winter is imminent. Enjoy some photos to celebrate the shoulder season. Shoutout to the Arboretum for the leaves.

Art!

Not working rocks, let me tell you. In the absence of full time employment, I have spent a lot more time writing, painting, collaging, et cetera, et cetera. Lately, I've been really into wiggly flower shapes, creating images using negative space, and playing with layers/transparency.

recs! recs! recs!

a song i'm loving:

  • CRANK - Slayyyter

a movie i watched:

I have two movies worthy of recommendation this week:

  • Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) This rocked my socks off. Aesthetically? Unmatched. We are just not doing visual art direction like this anymore. I loved this interpretation of the book and Gary Oldman? In his little glasses? 😙🤌
  • Frankenstein (2025) Jacob Elordi blew Oscar Isaac out of the water and that's all I'll say for the folks who are gonna watch at home

a book i'm reading:

  • Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir ((I think I'm entering a sci-fi era bc this book slaps))

Until Next Time!

P.S.

The Oracle of the Kennebunk Hannafords has really stepped up their artistry. I couldn't help but notice the departure from their usual light-hearted tone on this piece and neither could others.

Please sound off on what you think the creature in the woods is.
