Welcome To It
I'm bored and like to write. A match made in heaven for personal newsletter crafting I think. My goal with this is to write biweekly about things that are going on in my life because a journal simply wasn't enough for me. I've titled my little page "The Overthink" because that's what I'm up to all the time anyway but aim for 2025 is to do a little less thinking and a little more doing. Follow along, or don't! I hope it's at least a little enjoyable.
Ins and Outs for January
Predictions and resolutions aren't doing it for me anymore. Amy has me on an in's and out's train and I must share:
Ins
- Making a matcha latte at home a whole production
- Ice water even when its 4 degrees out
- Unapologetic stuffed animals on my bed
- Re-entering the scrapbooking game
- Classic gothic literature
Outs
- Waiting to text back so no one thinks I'm sitting on my phone (I am)
- Feeling dry
- Saving outfits for specific events
- Oscar bait movies
- Non-fiction books

What's for Dinner
Y'all. I am hitting a stride with cooking. Those who've lived with me at various points know my relationship with planning and making meals is fraught, but recently I've been getting exceedingly crafty. If anyone has vegetarian recipes that they like, pass those bad boys along.

Speaking of...
...re-entering the scrapbooking game. Last year I started a scrapbook to keep track of photos and little things throughout the year, inspired by a former coworker who told me that he and his pals got together and printed all their photos and put them into photo albums. It was about a page-ish for every month. Moving at the end of August made it tough to keep up with past July, but I'm making a triumphant comeback in 2025. Here are a few of my favorite spreads:

January 1, April, March, and January 2, respectively
TTFN
I'm not sure how best to wrap this up but maybe here are some recs that everyone can check out until next time.
a song i'm loving:
- Smooth Operator by Sade
a movie i watched recently:
- Nosferatu (2024) ((please talk to me about the woods/carriage ride/first meeting with the count sequence, I think it was the best 20 minutes of movie making of the year))
a book i'm reading:
- Dracula by Bram Stoker (( Inspired by Nosferatu obvi. I'm about half way through the audiobook with Alan Cumming and Tim Curry narrating and loving it. Love the drama, love the scandal, love that Dracula is canonically a yapper))
Until next time!
P.S. Shoutout to Emily, Marian, and Nat for inspiration and assistance in getting this up and running :)
